Dear valued guests & members, It has come to our attention that other entities have been trying to promote new websites as 'Q8 Metal', we would like to assure you that this is the official forum for Q8 Metal in Kuwait.

Q8 Metal Rules & Regulations

1. Respect Other Members
  • No flaming - Do not seek to insult or deride other forum members. We have zero tolerance.
  • No baiting - Do not treat people in an unkind manner to get them to flame you. This includes racism and attacks on religion; keep the religion to thy self. Also, under no circumstances should any member (including staff) threaten another member by any means. Such action will result in a permanent ban.
  • No Drama - Keep the drama to an acceptable level across the boards. If you get into a huge argument with someone, try and make sure it does not publically spill over into the community as a whole. Keep your personal issues with other members outside the forums
  • No Neo - Flaming/baiting Another form of flaming where upon the user flames or insults the other member, but usually disguises it to make it not look like a flame, insult or baiting.
2. Respect the Board
  • Read any rules and guidelines established by the community; some may have different regulations on a particular subject. Always be courteous.
  • Before creating a new topic thread, search to see if a similar topic already exists.
  • No spamming messages in threads. [E.g. a single 'lol' or any meaningless posts that makes no sense]
  • No Arabic please, this is an English speaking forum
  • Stay on-topic
  • This forum is categorized; please post in the appropriate forums
  • Avoid the use of all CAPITAL LETTERS in posts. (All CAPS is considered "shouting" and causes readability issues.), including FaNcY TyPiNG WiTHh FlAShY CoLoRsS AnD unnecessarily huge fonts
  • Images and pictures: Q8 Metal acknowledges the desire and worth of posting images and pictures within posts and as signatures and accommodates said practices as long as they do not conflict with local customs and traditions
  • Do not resurrect a very old topic if you have nothing extremely significant to add. This practice is known as revival or a "necro", short for necromancy, from the practice of necromancers in fantasy animating the dead.
  • No Flooding: Defined as either, posting more than five new threads in the same forum in an hour period without staff permission, bumping a load of dead topics which causes the previously active threads to drop off the first page, or posting repetitively in the same thread in a manner which ruins the previous subject of discussion.
  • No exploiting any loopholes in the rules, deliberately trying to humiliate staff/members publicly with the intention of degrading the boards.
  • No Advertising commercial sites or message boards: Do all that in sigs.
  • No links to any illegal software/cracks/unauthorized patches. No direct links to illegal downloads. In a nutshell, no piracy is allowed whatsoever.
  • Political debates in the 'Daily Talk' forum should not be related to anything to do with the State of Kuwait. If such debate is taken place, the Q8 Metal administration has full rights to hand in details about such event to the Kuwaiti authorities if asked, this includes personal information such as the IP address of the member.
3. Respect the Staff
  • If an admin/mod closes a thread, or tells you to quit doing something, then please listen to them. Admins/Mods are there to help control this forum, and stop it being degraded. While what they ask for may not make sense to you, it will make sense to everyone else who want what's best for the forum. If you are unhappy with a mod, then do not make a public protest thread, but PM an admin with the complaint and we will deal with it if necessary.
  • We will NOT accept the excuse that 'it's not in the rules so therefore I have not broken the rules'. If we warn you it is usually for very good reason. Not every infringement can be tightly put into this rulebook; we are not legal specialists. Just use common sense, and don't seek to take the piss, and you will get on fine.
We are all here to have a good time and enjoy a well established community, we do not want to police you neither treat you as kids, please follow the rules :)
